
Tasha Brown, DNP, MBA, MSHCA, BSN, RN, CDP, CM/DN CEO/Founder & Director of Operations
Dr. Tasha Brown is the Founder and CEO of Certified Home Nursing Solutions (CHNS), a full-service home care agency, staffing agency, and training center based in Baltimore County, Maryland. With more than 25 years of hands-on experience caring for seniors and individuals with disabilities, Dr. Brown is a respected healthcare leader recognized for compassionate, person-centered care. CHNS specializes in Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) services, providing high-quality support to individuals and families throughout the community.
Dr. Brown began her healthcare career in 1998 as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), where she developed a lifelong passion for serving vulnerable populations. She advanced her clinical expertise as a Medical Assistant, Phlebotomist, Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and Registered Nurse (RN). Prior to founding CHNS, she served as the Medical Program Manager and Director of Nursing for Active Day–Harford, overseeing clinical operations and specialized senior services.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Coppin State University, along with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Science in Healthcare Administration (MSHCA) from the University of Maryland. Dr. Brown obtained her Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Chamberlain University in 2025. She is also a Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) and a Delegating Nurse in the state of Maryland, specializing in Assisted Living and DDA services.
Dr. Brown is deeply passionate about improving the quality of life for seniors and individuals with disabilities, and her work reflects a lifelong commitment to advocacy, education, and service. She is actively engaged in community and professional leadership as the President of the Aberden Lioness Lions Club and the Treasurer of Rho Chi Chi Chapter Inc of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc. She also serves on the CNA Advisory Committee for the Maryland Board of Nursing and participates with the American Red Cross Disaster Healthcare Team. Under her leadership, Certified Home Nursing Solutions continues to thrive as a trusted provider of ethical, compassionate care.
