The Certified Medication Technician (CMT) program here at Certified Home Nursing Solutions LLC is designed to increase your knowledge. Upon completion of this course, you will be certified though the Maryland Board of Nursing to practice as a CMT. It is a 24 hour 3-day course which includes 20 hours of theory and 4 hours practical. Our program will prepare you to administer medication to clients in an Assisted Living facility, hospital, home health, mental health, or group home.
4 hour skills updates are performed the last four hours of each session listed below (second Sunday)
There are qualifications that must be met before being allowed to participate in this program.
Participants must:
- Be presently working in a medical para-profession
- Working in an assisted living facility (needs verification form from AL)
- Working providing patient care
- All applicants wishing to enroll in the CMT program must pass state mandated math and reading assessments with 70% or better
This class is offered every second weekend of the month Friday, Saturday, and Sunday in Harford County and every forth weekend of the month in Baltimore City. The cost is 200.00 and 50.00 for the book. A 50.00 deposit is required to reserve your set in the class as they fill up fast.
